Songwriters Showcase 2018



South West Sounds together with The Loft are bringing Warrnambool live music with a Songwriters Showcase on a Saturday afternoon in November on the 17th from 2-6pm. Dedicated Independent Local Songwriters with soulful music, meaningful lyrics, Rock and Folk singers and a Rock/Metal Band to finish the afternoon will provide a diverse and professional afternoon of enjoyable music for all, including a family friendly afternoon. Songwriters may have CDs or other merch for sale, and Double Bass Tattoo and Pop Up Records will also be set up for this event.
We have a line-up of dedicated singer/songwriter/musicians with songs with a meaning, chords with passion, and singing with soul, melody with compassion and beats with groove,beats with Rock to get everyone feeling good and cherishing a great afternoon out, with friends, family, community and supporting local Independent Songwriting musicians.

With only a $10 door charge this will split between all the musicians giving their time and effort to bring quality music to you. It will help to cover the costs of live music has, with a good quality sound to your ears. Nibbles will be provided by South West Sounds, (packets of chips) and the bar at The Loft has nice wines, beers and soft drinks, the November warmer weather will be lovely and you can bring in food from surrounding Cafes near The Loft.  The atmosphere will be relaxing and comfortable, with easy listening music to fill your heart with happiness, leading into some energetic duos and a Rock Band at the end of the afternoon, in which you may just want to party on into the night !
Our Musicians will love to sing to you and have a chat and mingle, so please do save the date and come on out and have a lovely time.

Fleur will be sure to delight you with her  'Mermaid Country' unique style of  beautiful songs and vocals, Fleur is now based in Port Fairy, and her music has traveled with her around the globe...
Bruce Campbell will be singing songs from  his EPs that have had success being played on National Community Radio stations and on Spotify streams all around the globe, his rhythmic guitar styles and clear distinctive vocals sing meaningful stories captivating your conscious. ..

Kinnon with her deep soulful voice, unique guitar styles and carefully thoughtful lyrics is delightful music to your ears easy to listen to her all afternoon...though there are still more musicians to follow...
Fiona Kershaw and her son Shar  have a set of groovy originals, some reggae, some soul, some pop/folk you are sure to enjoy with Shar's smooth bass lines, Fiona's great guitar rhythms and lyrics of modern poetry with a meaning...
 Owen Ellemor (Stony Rises) with his versatile bluesy rock guitar styles, warm enticing deep and enchanting lyrics , bringing mellow moods and deep thoughts, casting spells leaving an audience feeling inspired...
Nameless Rock Band, new to the scene have made a great big impact, will complete the afternoon with a few dynamic and powerful originals including their first single "Break Me Down"available from bandcamp and on TripleJ Unearthed...
