Fear Mary - Latest Album by Fiona Honeyman 2024

 Fear Mary is the latest project from Fiona Honeyman, a Melbourne-based multi-instrumentalist known by a diverse and loyal fanbase predominantly for the festival-ready folk anthems that had defined her musical career to date. Independently recorded in her Prahran home Studio between March and July 2024, the debut Fear Mary Album showcases Fiona's versatility as an artist and composer and represents a bold departure in a more visceral, rock n' roll direction that will continue to evolve over the years to come. 

Building on the groundwork laid by influences from The Pretenders and The Cranberries to Nick Cave, Metallica, Bloodywood and beyond, Fear Mary's sonic identity is a seamless blend of raw energy and intricate composition, with Fiona's experience playing lead guitar for metal outfit NAMELESS and supporting other Aussie acts like MASON and Hidden Intent leading a distinctly hard edge to every track. 

With the album now available on Bandcamp, Spotify, and YouTube, Honeyman is now setting her sights on expanding the line-up with a talented group of musicians who can translate her multi-instrumental studio recordings into a powerful, polished live experience and cement Fear Mary's reputation as a knockout live act. Plans to start hitting Melbourne's music venues are already underway, with official dates to be announced in due time.
